Start with Labor0

Follow this order to prepare a workspace and complete a small first task.

Before you begin

Have an account, a GitHub account that can access the intended repository, and a small task in mind. If someone else owns the organization or billing relationship, confirm who can approve workspace changes.

  1. Create or choose a workspace.
  2. Connect GitHub and register the repository.
  3. Create a focused project.
  4. Add credentials for the selected agent runtime.
  5. Run a small first task with plan review enabled.

What ready looks like

Do not rely on having visited every settings page. Check these visible results instead:

Setup stepExpected app signal
WorkspaceIts name is selected in the workspace selector and Projects opens in that scope.
GitHubGitHub access shows the intended account or installation, and Registered repositories contains the repository.
ProjectThe project opens from Projects and exposes project Graph, Sessions, and settings.
RuntimeThe selected row under Runtime credentials reports that the required value is set; the secret itself is not shown again.
First taskTask detail shows the request and its current state. With plan review enabled, implementation waits for a visible approval decision.

If one signal is missing, stop at that guide instead of continuing with a partially configured project.

Permission guidance

Workspace creation, repository authorization, project settings, and task execution are protected app actions. Ask a workspace administrator when a control is unavailable instead of trying to work around it.

Open Labor0 to sign in or create the workspace.

If setup stops

Symptom: the next setup action is unavailable. Likely cause: the account lacks workspace or project permission, or a prerequisite connection is incomplete. Safe recovery: return to the app’s current workspace or project screen, complete the missing prerequisite, and retry once.
